Education and training
Mr Naveen Cavale holds a bachelor’s degree with honours in anatomy and neuroscience and qualified in medicine at University College London in 1992. After completing his surgical training, he became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. In 2002, he obtained a master’s degree with distinction in surgical science from University College London, and in 2008 he was awarded a fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery.
Professional appointments and recognition:
Mr Cavale has held senior managerial positions at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, including Clinical Director for Surgery (equivalent to the US Chief of Surgery) and Quality Assurance and Governance Lead, alongside his role as a consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He also founded Real Plastic Surgery, a leading state-of-the-art plastic surgery practice, based in the Real Clinic in central London, where he sees and treats his private patients.
Internationally recognised for his expertise, Mr Cavale is a Board Member and the UK representative for the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS). Clinical practice and approach
More recently, he has shifted his focus to more complex reconstructions, working with other surgical specialities such as cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, general surgery and orthopaedics. He feels these are the more interesting cases, where the other surgical teams might require a plastic surgeon to help undertake reconstruction following extensive surgery on their part.
