Real Plastic Surgery was founded in 2010 by Mr Naveen Cavale, based in Battersea. Mr Cavale has spent over 30 years working as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, across both the NHS and private practice, and that reconstructive background still shapes how he approaches every case today, from rhinoplasty to breast surgery to facial procedures.

Most surgeons come to aesthetics from one direction. Mr Cavale came to it through reconstruction: years spent rebuilding function and anatomy before appearance ever entered the conversation. That order matters. It means his rhinoplasty work, for instance, treats breathing and structure with the same seriousness as shape, which is part of why he’s one of the relatively few surgeons who routinely combines functional and aesthetic rhinoplasty in a single procedure.

He’s also known for piezo rhinoplasty, an ultrasonic technique for reshaping the nasal bones that tends to mean less bruising and a quicker recovery than the older, more forceful methods.

His training: an honours degree in Anatomy and Neuroscience, a medical degree from UCL, specialist training in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, a Master’s with Distinction in Surgical Science, and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons.

Beyond the clinic, Mr Cavale sits on the board of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), lectures and supervises students at King’s College London, and hosts international fellows for aesthetic surgery training. He also gives time to charitable reconstructive surgery work overseas. He holds positions with BAAPS, BAPRAS, ISAPS, BSRS and ASPS – the professional bodies that set the standards for the field he trained in.
